COURSE CURRENCY
Current Industry Standards are for Senior First Aid and Remote (Wilderness) First Aid to be re-certified every 3 years.
Resuscitation (CPR) whether as part of the Fist Aid course or as a standalone unit to be re-certified every 12 months
Senior First Aid:
Course Costs $145.00
This course is designed to impart knowledge and skills and also teaches the fundamental principles to enable appropriate emergency care for injuries and illness until medical assistance arrives, whether in the workplace or home.
On successful completion of this course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency:
HLTFA301B Apply First Aid
Delivery Details
Flexible Learning – E-learning prior to the course, plus ½ a day assessment including demonstration of practical skills, role play and case studies.
Resuscitation (CPR):
Course Costs $80.00
This course is to teach the skills and knowledge to maintain breathing and circulation following cardiac arrest.
On successful completion of this course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency:
HLTCPR201A Perform CPR
Delivery Details
4 hour course and assessment is through demonstration of practical skills
Remote First Aid(Wilderness):
Course Costs $460.00
This course covers a comprehensive range of issues to equip people to deal with the on-going care for those who need it in a remote or wilderness area.
The course is suitable for those who work in the Outdoor Recreation Environment, both professional and volunteers.
On completion, successful participants will have an understanding of the principles and limitations of remote area first aid. They will have the ability to improvise, adapt and overcome difficulties in managing the patient.
On successful completion of this course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency:
SISOOPS306A Provide first aid in a remote location
SISXEMR201A Respond to an emergency situation
SISXOHS201A Follow occupational health and safety
Delivery Details
Flexible Learning – E-Learning prior to the course. Then 4 consecutive days training and assessment, including demonstration of practical skills, role plays and case studies.
Epi Pen Administration:
Course Costs $60.00
This course teaches the skills and knowledge to understand the when the need to administer an Epi Pin is required, how to administer it and then to continue care.
On successful completion of this course participants will be issued with a Statement of Competency.
