Canyoning
Guide Multi Pitch
An outdoor activity consisting of moving down a deep narrow valley with steep sides, often with a stream running through it. In this activity, any descents may involve distances of greater than one rope length, or "pitch". The activity requires the ability to know where you are within the canyon, at all times and using a map and compass, to be able to find the best way to move from one location to another.

Units provide credit towards Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation (SIS40310)
Course Duration:
Maximum of 6 months from commencement
Entry Requirment:
HSC (year 12) or a mature background
Note:
HLTFA301B Apply First Aid is a pre-requisite for all courses
Additional Pre-Requisite
SISOOPS305A Provide First Aid in a remote location (remote/wilderness first aid)
Units of Competency delivered in this course are endorsed skill sets associated with the ATQF training package

Single units of competency are charged at a premium rate. E-Learning forms part of the assessment process; you will be required to demonstrate that you have an understanding of the knowledge in relation to these Units of Competency. These units will be assessed holistically in conjunction with the Face-to-Face component of this course. |
