Climbing - Natural Surfaces
Instruct - Top Rope

An outdoor activity, consisting of climbing a natural (non man-made) made structure. Participants in this activity are protected from falling by use of a system of ropes and safety devices (known as a belay system), where the rope is always above the climber (a Top Rope climb). The qualification requires the ability to impart knowledge and skills to enable the participants to independently participate in the activity.

Units provide credit towards Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation (SIS40310)
Course Duration:
Maximum of 6 months from commencement
Entry Requirment:
HSC (year 12) or a mature background
Note:
HLTFA301B Apply First Aid is a pre-requisite for all courses

SISOOPS305A Provide First Aid in a remote location (remote/wilderness first aid)
