Four Wheel Driving (4WD)
Guide - Advanced
An outdoor activity, consisting of driving a four wheel drive (4WD)vehicle on an all day tour, in an "off road" environment. An "off road" environment may include: bush or mountain tracks, away from paved or public roads. The activity requires the ability to plan the event and follow a correct or satisfactory course along a route. Intermdiate environment includes natural bush areas where where there has been very little man made modification to the area where the driving takes place and there are no easily seen tracks to follow.
Career Pathway:
Units provide credit towards Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation (SIS40310)
Course Duration:
Maximum of 6 months from commencement
Entry Requirment:
HSC (year 12) or a mature background & current driver's licence
Note:
HLTFA301B Apply First Aid is a pre-requisite for all courses
Additional Pre-Requisite
SISOOPS305A Provide First Aid in a remote location (remote/wilderness first aid)
Units of Competency delivered in this course are endorsed skill sets associated with the ATQF training package

E-Learning (web-based) only - $840.00 On-Line Web-based Learner Guides & Exams Note: The Elearning Units Packaged course price is equivalent to $70.00 per Unit of Competency. Single units of competency are charged at a premium rate. E-Learning forms part of the assessment process; you will be required to demonstrate that you have an understanding of the knowledge in relation to these Units of Competency. These units will be assessed holistically in conjunction with the Face-to-Face component of this course. |
Practical Units (face-to-face) only - $750.00 2 x blocks of 2 days practical training and/or assessment Documented and Verifiable work experience or logged practice sessions (approx. 30 hours) will be required and form an integral part of the assessment process. |
