Horse Riding - Trail Rides

Trail Guide - Overnight Rides

 

 

An outdoor activity, consisting of being a guide or leader of overnight horse trail rides. The Guide operates in known locations working under established operating proceedures determined by the the trail boss or higher authority. They are responsible for the wellbeing of the participants and horses before,during and at the conclusion of the activity. They may lead the ride or assist a day trail boss. On overnight trail rides the selection and use of campsites or accommodation modes is also their responsibility.

Career Pathway:

Units provide credit towards Cert III in Outdoor Recreation (SIS30410)

Course Duration:

Maximum of 6 months from commencement

Entry Requirment:

HSC (year 12) or a mature background

Note:

HLTFA301B Apply First Aid is a pre-requisite for all courses

 

 

Units of Competency delivered in this course are endorsed skill sets associated with the ATQF training package

E-Learning (web-based) only - $700.00

On-Line Web-based Learner Guides & Exams

Note: The Elearning Units Packaged course price is equivalent to $70.00 per Unit of Competency. Single units of competency are charged at a premium rate.

E-Learning forms part of the assessment process; you will be required to demonstrate that you have an understanding of the knowledge in relation to these Units of Competency. These units will be assessed holistically in conjunction with the Face-to-Face component of this course.

Practical Units (face-to-face) only - $750.00

2 x blocks of 2 days practical training and/or assessment

Documented and Verifiable work experience or logged practice sessions (approx. 30 hours) will be required and form an integral part of the assessment process.
